? Important information about Spiti Valley. Sharing a little from our experience—a 5-day trip, 4 people, 3,500 rupees per day for the whole vehicle. Route: 1. Manali>Losar>Kaza 2. Kaza>Tabo>Dhankar 3. Dhankar>Key>Kibber 4. Kibber>Chandratal 5. Campsite>Manali ⭐I recommend going—you just need to know what to expect and prepare accordingly⭐ ❄We prepared for the weather, but it was still colder than expected. ? We kept checking on the driver throughout the journey to make sure he was doing OK—and he was great. ?Accommodation—poor conditions in most places, because the driver takes you to places he knows and his friends' places. Push him to find somewhere else and you'll find options—but yes, they cost a lot. ⭐Driving conditions—a jeep safari in a regular car! A funny experience, with lots of getting stuck along the way. Luckily, other vehicles get stuck with you, so everyone helps each other and carries on. ?Two villages I think you should learn more about before going—Losar and Kibber. Authentic and interesting to visit, but in my opinion, you don't need more than two hours in either. ⛺Campsite near Chandratal Lake—an absolutely stunning lake!!! The overnight stay is really nice: tents with double beds and toilets inside—yes, really! Important to know—it's FREEZING there!!! Price: 1,000 rupees per person for accommodation, dinner and 2 slices of bread with jam in the morning. ☀Beautiful places worth visiting: Tabo—a 1,022-year-old monastery and meditation caves. Dhankar—perfect. Stay at the monastery guesthouse—delicious food and wonderful rooms. ?Phone reception and internet—none. Anywhere. ⭐Electricity—usually only available for a few hours at night, then it goes off. Be prepared: this also means no hot shower, just a bucket wash if the guesthouse owner provides one. I recommend this trip to everyone—it's wonderful, but it's important to come prepared? Have a great trip?
